Six months have passed since the life of Darling , a young man of just 16, was tragically cut short on a night that shocked Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. Last Sunday, March 15th , his family and friends held a memorial service near the place where he died. The facts: A night marked by tragedy
In the early hours of September 8-9, 2025, the tranquility of Riera Blanca Street was shattered. Around number 166, very close to the Santa Eulàlia metro station entrance, several calls from neighbors to 112 alerted authorities to a fight and desperate cries for help.
When the police patrols arrived, the scene was devastating: two young men had been stabbed . One of them, a 16-year-old, was taken to Sant Joan de Déu Hospital with an arm wound. However, Darling suffered the worst injuries. After being stabbed twice and losing a significant amount of blood, he was evacuated in critical condition to Bellvitge Hospital , where he sadly died.
Legal developments: The dumping of data from mobile devices
Six months later, the investigation enters a crucial phase. The court handling the case has ordered a comprehensive forensic examination of the mobile phones belonging to both the suspects and the victim.
Daniel Salvador, head of the Criminal Law department at Vosseler Abogados, highlights the importance of these proceedings:
"The most important investigative step remaining is the extraction of data from the phones , the geolocation of the devices, and the analysis of data traffic from all those involved. This will undoubtedly shed light on the responsibility of each individual and, above all, how they coordinated their actions that night."
Currently, there are five young people arrested by the Mossos d'Esquadra; two of them minors and three who remain in provisional detention as alleged perpetrators of the murder.

From the beginning of the case, the family has had to cope not only with the pain of their loss, but also with unfounded rumors. Some groups tried to link the incident to a war between "Latin gangs ," a baseless hypothesis that has caused further harm to a community that is simply seeking justice.
